At full health it will try to set both their healths to 750; this is only 250 damage to the GL; if the warrior is at 100/500 health for example it would try to bring both to 550 health, which is 450 damage, and this will bring the W/N to his max of 500 and drop the GL to 550. So yes, you can do massive damage with Grenths even at full health, if your opponent has >3 times your health.
I figured that out Nice explantation though, its a really nice skill, the description really isnt good enough :P

I use "Hammerstring", but as i dont use any 2nd Prof. Skills ( Necro ), i need all
my 8 Slots. Some for In Fights, others for Runing or else.

Heh, that one is easy. You just got schooled by Greneth's Balance. It's a nice little ambush spell I use on my warrior from time to time. I've done 250+ damage to someone easily using this spell. Mmmm, HP.

Another pure user at half potential, ah well. I hate to say it but there is no class I can see through pure logic and rationality that can be a 'pure single class' character. That's just half a class. Half potential. I fixed your spelling in that quote too.

If you're W/N, why not bring Plague Touch and Rend Enchantments? Thoroughly tested and proven dangerous.

I have two guildmates who think they're all that using only elemental skills and they're both half mesmer. Damnit, don't they realize they can Arcane Echo their deadliest most damaging skill instead of using a different weaker skill?

Why do some people think they are efficient using only one class? The thought of it escapes me.

Just btw, i am getting hit [being a monk] with 180+ spikes all the time, almost always elementalists and their lightning stuff. I actually tend to die instantly alot, unless i keep either protective spirit (10% max damage limit) or protective bond (5% max damage limit) up. Quite annoying.

As for the 33% speed thing the OP mentioned. Rangers have minimum 2 speed buffs [not counting elites] which times can be extended alot with attribs [Dodge and Stormchaser]. Add to that Serpent's Quickness which recharge all your skills 33% faster and maybe a spirit which recharge it twice as fast....Heck if you have both those quickenings i wouldnt be surprised if you can spam only ONE [dodge/stormchaser] indefinitely [i.e. it recharge faster than the time it lasts on you].

Grenth's Balance got the nerf stick, so I am assuming that it was the cause of some of the stupidity in GvG. Now the max hit will be ~700 against the Guild lord if you are running fertile seasons and you drain your own health down to near 0. Still abusable, but not as bad. Spellbreaker is your friend here.
